Whatton & Aslockton Playing Trust do not allow dogs to be exercised on the playing field. Signs are displayed at both entries to the field. These signs were erected in the late 1980’s when both Aslockton Parish Council and Whatton Parish Council decided on that course of action.
The subject has been discussed several times by the Management Committee, who are now responsible for the day to day management of the field. The Management Committee has decided on each occasion that dogs will not be allowed on the field for the following reasons;
Dogs on children’s playgrounds represent a major health and injury hazard:
The Management Committee feel that by allowing dogs onto the field, it is possible that the health of all users, young and old, may be affected. It is also felt that there are ample areas to exercise dogs in the fields and country lanes that surround the two villages.

CCTV cameras have now been installed on the playing field on Dark Lane.
The cameras and equipment have been kindly donated by a local company for which the Management Committee are extremely grateful.
Documents relating to the installing and public access to images are available for download.
